The artist: “Tumby Bay is a small town of only 1000 inhabitants in the south of Australia. It is a rural town with access to the sea where people enjoy simple things; rural work, fishing and the beach. There´s an old jetty, which began as the town’s economic engine and became the most important meeting point of the people. Among the simple things that the neighbours enjoy is jumping from the jetty to the water.
I´m interested in representing that scene so common and simple in a giant mural since jumping from the jetty is the great connector of this small town in South Australia.”
