Hilton Art Room 104: Onur Dinc

Hilton Art Rooms

Five leading artists in the international street art scene secretly produced five astonishing murals in rooms of the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel on the NDSM Wharf in the North of Amsterdam. On April 6, the rooms were officially launched with a grand opening. The Hilton Art Rooms are the result of a tight collaboration between DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Amsterdam NDSM Wharf and Street Art Today, kindly supported by Liquitex. This is the second of a series of five rooms:

Onur Dinc

Onur Dinc is one of Switzerland’s most renowned street artists. His artworks can be found all over the globe: from the United States of America to Iceland and Budapest. The photorealistic works together with absurdistic elements are trademarks for his style. With his art, Onur tries to encourage the viewer to take a step back and truly see their surroundings. This unmistakable talented artist challenges himself time and again by mastering new skills.

Room 104

For this piece, Onur used a technique called monochrome painting. With this technique you can see the different layers of the work from different angles. Onur mastered this technique, resulting in high quality artwork. This painting shows a burning ladder in front of a skyscape of clouds. These clouds are created by this technique, making the painting a dynamic spectacle. The ladder symbolizes the idea that the past does not determine the future: the future is open, full of possibilities and opportunities.
