SATelite – Where Art and Audio meet

Pipsqueak Was Here

Pipsqueak Was Here!!!

When the cream of the crop of the Amsterdam street art scene is let loose in the highest quality audio store, SATelite emerges: an inspiring art-meets-audio show on location.

In collaboration with Raumfeld, Street Art Today hosts an ongoing series of exhibitions of elite street artists based in the Dutch capitol. The Teufel-Raumfeld Brandstore at the Van Baerlestraat in southern Amsterdam forms the perfect location for an evening of the finest live street art combined with music from the best audio systems. And no one less than the prolific Amsterdam based street art duo ‘Pipsqueak was here!!!’ kicks off!

With their newest show ‘Resounding From a Nearby Wall’ Pipsqueak reacts to the process of human beings drifting away from their natural state. Relentlessly they visualize their idiosyncratic view on what most people experience as everyday life and consider normal while something surprisingly estranging occurs when placing extra emphasis on the ordinary. There is an endless flux of significant things among the ordinary that need highlighting and yet so little time, therefore why hold back?

During the festive opening of this exhibition, Pipsqueak was here!!! will be painting LIVE! Not on a canvas but on the Raumfeld Stereo L, one of Raumfelds crown jewels in the wireless speaker range. Fine art in a fine audiostore needs fine music so DJ Kraut will be rocking his tunes. Drinks are served by Two Chefs and Dorstlust and The Uptown Meat Club serves bites which are too good to miss.
